I followed the instructions and copied the wsgi config file, but at http://webapp-158684.pythonanywhere.com/ there is still a default PythonAnywhere site.
My domain registrar is ASmallOrange and trying to point to "webapp-158684.pythonanywhere.com" gives me an 'invalid nameserver host []' error. This might be my fault or theirs, so I have a support ticket open at ASO too.
There will never be a web app served from the webapp-<number>.pythonanywhere.com address. Those addresses are only for setting up DNS, not for serving web apps. We only serve web apps from their name.
If you're getting an "invalid nameserver host" error from your DNS provider, my guess is that you're not editing the CNAME property of your domain name, but the nameserver host property. Look for the CNAME.
