I do not understand why pythonanywhere.com does not let us purchase domain directly???

• Is it a lack of technical ability?

I'm sure it is not that technically difficult to do (I'm sure any developer who spends 40 or 50 hours studying DNS can figure it out).

- IT IS A HUGE HUGE HUGE headache to have to buy domains through 3rd party websites

• They are usually predatory and spammy.
• They always try to upsell.
• Most make it nearly impossible to cancel.
• IT IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING TO DEAL WITH & CONFIGURE DNS

PLEASE, add a feature to purchase a domains directly from pythonanywhere.com. PLEASE.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately it's not a matter of technical skill -- being a domain registrar is a huge deal. That, plus the low margins that companies that go through all of that expensive setup wind up getting, is probably why some of them often seem to be trying to extract every penny from you that they can.

We could potentially become a reseller for one of the established providers, but of course that would just mean that you'd still have the same issues, it would just be mediated through us.
