I have a paid account right now. The app I created is meant to be used only part of the year. I have two daily tasks (both currently paused). If I switch my plan to a free account, will one of those tasks be deleted?

No, you don't need to worry about that -- if the tasks are already paused, there will be no action. (If they were running, then one of them (essentially at random) would be paused so that you would only be using a free account's features.)
