I want to serve static files to be accessed at http://myusername.pythonanywhere.com (or whatever, I don't really care). I found this blog post explaining how to do it. But I don't see that option on the Web tab. I only see

Add a new web app
You have no web apps
To create a PythonAnywhere-hosted web app, click the "Add a new web app" button to the left.

And clicking that button doesn't give any "static" option either.

Am I missing something really obvious? Has the interface changed since that blog post was made?

The static files settings are for a web app, so you need to create a web app first.

Sounds like we need two blog post (tutorials). One for those with a web app (as mentioned above) and one for those without, that says create a web app and follow the other tutorial...
